  忻元龙，复旦大学数学研究所教授，微分几何专家，在调和映照和极小子流形等方面有系统深入的工作。他建立了等变调和映照一般的理论框架，开创了调和映照稳定性的研究，证明了n维球面到任何黎曼流形的稳定调和映照一定是常值映照，对陈省身的一个公开问题有新的突破。在极小子流形的刚性研究和平均曲率流的自相似解研究取得重要研究成果。曾获陈省身数学奖、国家教委科技进步一等奖。
